Pranzo Italian York

Independently owned and run, Pranzo Italian York is the fourth restaurant in the Pranzo family. We opened in York this July (2025) and cannot believe the incredible welcome we have had. Pranzo specialises in homemade pasta and Italian wines. The former is hard to find in York and that's why we believe we deserve to be considered for the Best Restaurant Award. Every morning our team set to work making fresh pasta, breads, sauces and desserts - we can proudly say everything on our menu is made in-house. Located on Church Street, just a stone's throw from York Minster and The Shambles, we're in the heart of York and love welcoming the city's visitors, residents and workers through the doors. In the six weeks we have been open, we have already achieved a rating of 4.8 on both Tripadvisor and Google Business. We have held free pasta giveaways, celebrated with complimentary fizz and are preparing to take part in our first York Restaurant Week.

If we can use smaller independent supplier then these are high on the priority list, Ice cream from Burgess of Beverly, our own recipe Cheesecakes, hand made by the award winning Choc & cheese in Goole, single origin local honey from Thorganby, Yorkshire Rapeseed oil use for our complimentary pre lunch and dinner bread course. Our business is committed to giving back to both national charities and our local community. This year we raised £10,360 for Cancer Research UK, a cause close to our hearts as my mum recently reached her five-year milestone after cancer. To support this, we joined the Race for Life, ran a raffle with 100 prizes, and hosted a charity ball at the Pavilion Hotel, attended by 110 guests. At Christmas, we turned our focus to those in need in York, creating 150 shoeboxes filled with essentials and treats, from socks and body wash to chocolate and perfume, ensuring no one went without a gift. We also provided desserts on Christmas Day for the homeless community. Through fundraising, events, and community care, we are proud to give back, spread kindness, and make a real difference.

Bee and Sunfllower

Set up in 2023 by Jess in a over 55s independent living facility. They had been without a cafe and welcomed the reopening. The cafe is a dementia champion offering dementia dining and coffee morning for those living with dementia along with their carers and loved ones the chance to meet others in a similar situation. They also run a Chatty cafe table a scheme aimed at preventing lonliness. The cafe opened their doors during the floods to local people affected offering a warm meal hot drinks etc The cafe also ofers meals for people in need. The cafe is a huge supporter of mental health awareness and regularly raise money and awareness thru fundraising events. Jess is passionate about getting young people wiith additional needs in to work . The bee and Sunflower cafe is a real credit to everyone who visits and tho small is certainly mighty and is loved by everyone who visits !

Christina has been involved in developing educational resources and materials that support her mission. Copmanthorpe Sports Club

Copmanthorpe Sports Club have raised a lot of money for local community groups such as Copmanthorpe Football Club & Copmanthorpe Cricket Club, supporting kids opportunities for learning through sport in the village. We have also put on a huge amount of free kids activities, such as fun days, discos & magic shows to give free opportunities for families in the village & surrounding areas.

Crystal Clean windows York Ltd

I want to enter my work colleague Isaac who showed true community spirit when a local Chinese takeaway was targeted with racial abuse and vandalised with spray-painted England flags. Wanting to support the business and stand against hate, Isaac volunteered his time and skills to remove the graffiti and clean all of the windows free of charge. His actions not only restored the shopfront but also sent a powerful message of kindness, solidarity, and respect within the community.

Fortus Business Advisors and Accountants

in 2024, the team at Fortus decided they wanted to better support Yorkshire communities and committed to setting up a charitable arm of the business - The Fortus Foundation. The Fortus Foundation has subsequently gone from strength to strength, funding nearly £20k of projects in it's first year. The Foundation runs a campaign called Go Give One, encouraging businesses to give 1% of their profits. Not only did Fortus commit to this themsleves, but they also commit 1% of their turnover, meaning that covers all the running costs of the Foundation and puts money in the pot for grants. Fortus ongoing commitment to doing the right thing stretches further, to lending marketing, finance and admin support to the Foundation, and subsequently reaffirms their commitment to doing some good in the world!

Since 2005, when Gemma McDonald founded Little Gems, we’ve grown into Generate Theatre Company—championing people, creativity, and community. We believe theatre can bring communities together, spark imagination, and change lives. Guided by our values of creativity, inclusivity, and belief in change, we put people at the centre of everything we do. Through theatre, we improve wellbeing, develop social, emotional, and physical skills, and help individuals thrive. We work closely with local schools, charities, and community organisations, building strong partnerships that allow us to reach and support more people. We’ve seen children who lacked confidence grow in self-belief, and adults rediscover confidence, improve mental health, and build meaningful connections. Genie Clean

I run my own cleaning brand which is big on social media with over 1.2 million followers accross all platforms. For years I was a cleaner and seen so many people struggle because they couldn’t afford the help. When I set up my cleaning brand I decided to nominate 5% of all profits to fund free cleans for people who need our professional help. We have changed so many lives and travel all over the Uk helping people who are disabled or vulnerable. Not only do we do free cleans we also sponsor Family Fund and dedicate sales from lives to donate to the charity and create fundraising events to raise money. It doesn’t stop there, we will often randomly select customers and send them free products to simply make there day. We support the local community and buy directly from small family businesses in the UK. All of our products are made in the UK.

I am proud to run my own independent BSL (British Sign Language) teaching business here in York and Selby. I offer fun and engaging signing sessions for babies and toddlers, BSL choirs, bootcamps, and inspiring assemblies for schools. My mission is to make signing accessible to everyone, break down barriers, and celebrate the Deaf community. What makes my business special is the way I bring people together — from little ones taking their first steps in communication, to schools learning about inclusion, to choirs sharing songs in BSL. Teach Me Happy

We are a provider of education for young people who struggle in mainstream education. We have built our small business without any external funding and now provide services to over 70 local children across the week. We offer academic learning alongside holistic activities, animal therapy and horse riding. We now employ over 25 people at our provision and our small independent school. We mainly provide services to autistic children and those with anxiety. Our aim is to help them back into education: mainstream or specialist or to help with transitions into Post-16 education . Last year, all students who took functional skills examinations with us passed and many went on to study at local colleges and specialist post-16 provision. We are blessed to assist such wonderful young people and the local families of York and surrounding areas.

The Little Llama (Malton)

The Little Llama is a play cafe based in Malton with a real community focus. A “Pay it forward” scheme was introduced whereby free admission is passed to those who are in need- be it due to Postnatal depression, financial difficulties- or even a partner working away meaning parenting feels that bit harder! We recently started a “Random Acts of Kindness” chain throughout small businesses locally, in honour of a young girl who died. We simply purchased a voucher (and gifted to a customer in need) for a local business- with the expectation that they too purchased a voucher from another business and gifted to someone in need. It’s spreading fast! Our play cafe is described as a “sanctuary” for parents- with some confiding they’ve not spoken to another adult for days, and everyone is welcomed warmly.

The Old Girls' School Community Centre

After 5 years fighting to save the building, it was finally opened in 2018 as a Community Centre. 7 yesrs on, and it still proves to be a vital, vibrant centre - enjoyed by so many local people. Hired out to groups for classes and for family parties. Also used for a range of events organised by staff and volunteers at the centre. Originally opened as a school in 1876, the building celebrates it's 150th anniverssry next year. A series of events are being planned to commemorate this special time. It would be wonderful to be recognised as a Best Business as well as the staff & volunteers work so hsrd to keep this centre open for everyone to enjoy.

The York Dungeon

We are so lucky to have so many opportunities in our great city of York to be able to bring our Dungeon magic out onto the streets and into other venues, and our team have certainly entertained in the last twelve months, from Ghosts After Dark, to York PRIDE, to Inclusion Day with the York Knights, heart warming Christmas hospital visits with Merlin's Magic Wand, and celebrating diversity and culture at the wonderful Our City Festival. Seeing the joy that our team bring to the attendees of these events is truly something special. Alongside that, since September 2024 we have organised three riverside clean events in support of the SEALIFE Trust; working with volunteers from a number of local businesses and organisations we collected a combined 225kg of rubbish from the riverside area around King’s Staith, New Walk, the Millennium Bridge and Queen’s Staith.

Thunk-It Theatre CIC deliver inspiring theatre, workshops and projects that support communities often overlooked - especially SEND young people and their families, offering safe, joyful spaces where everyone is included. By keeping opportunities financially accessible, they remove barriers so people of all backgrounds can take part. Their work has had a powerful impact in rural Yorkshire towns, where access to the arts is limited, bringing high-quality creative experiences right to people’s doorsteps. Thunk-It doesn’t just put on shows - they nurture confidence, connection, and wellbeing, proving that theatre can transform lives and strengthen communities.

York Wheels Ltd

York Wheels are the largest community transport charity in York, we are over 35 years old and have a customer base of over 3k York residents, all who rely on this service to assist with transport to destination such as Hospital, Doctors, Dentist, hairdressers or visiting friend. Now more than ever our services are required to assist with transport to hospital as Ambulances services are stretched to the max. Hospital appointments out of York are also part of the journeys we now carry out. Without the support many residents would be isolated in their homes and unable to attend important appointments, or continue to visit friends when they cant use public transport. The service is run by 3 part-time members of staff and 23 Volunteer drivers. The drivers find this a very worth while charity and get great joy from giving back and helping others.

V's Artisan Kitchen is a new bakery on Gillygate and it's been a dream of mine for many years. I bake and serve fresh baked savouries and sweets inspired by both Greek and Yorkshire favourites. When you walk into my bakery, I don't want you to feel like a customer, but like a guest in my home. I've always loved feeding people, and sharing the food that I eat at home and make for my family is what I do best. I try to give people that home baked feeling. Everything I offer is made fresh daily so that it is the best quality I can offer. I love to support local businesses around me, getting our meat from M&K on Bishopthorpe Rd and our coffee from Roost in Malton. I don't like waste, and try to give anything left at the end of the day to the homeless shelter down the road. Community and people very important to me, everyone is welcome to sit and have a coffee and a chat whenever they want.

Devine meats

We have had our family owned butchers for 15 years and as much as I’d like to say it’s cause of our meat, our deals or our famous pork pies. The reason we have been so incredible successful for this many years is because of my dad. The main front man of the business. Our loyal customers don’t just come in for a joint of ham or a couple of steaks, they come to see my dad. There is a queue outside of the door multiple times a day, but not because we’re they busy but because my Dad is talking to his customers and they never want to leave (or can’t), with how much they’re in conversation. I can’t put into words how amazing my Dads customer service skills are, he doesn’t force them to buy anything or try to upsell, he genuinely asks them about their lives and remembers everything they tell him from the time before. We even have some customers who just come to speak to him and have a bacon butty with the staff. We have such loyal customers and we haven’t have that without my amazing Dad.

G's Taxi Selby

I started Gs Taxi in 2019 and after surviving the C19 Lock Down, I invested money and an awful lot of time tk be able to afford the Big White Taxi. I have always offered a door to door service, everything from local.shopping trips, to airports, cruise terminals and race days, wedding parties and even pet transport to and from vetinary surgeries. I look after several local care homes and of course the taxi business wouldn't be without the weekend revellers. I absolutely love my job and I wouldn't swap it for anything.

Thomas and Tony love what they do. Whenever the Tea room is open then the boys are in their second home. Colour & Light transformed the iconic South Transept of York Minster from Wednesday 12th February to Sunday 2nd March 2025. This free event celebrated the beauty of York’s wildlife, creating an unforgettable event for all ages, and highlighting the city’s heritage and creativity. Running nightly from 6pm to 9pm, with projections on a 10-minute loop. The display combined famous and lesser-known stories about York’s wildlife, from the peregrine falcons that call the Minster home and the foxes that roam the city after dark, to the horses that the Roman’s rode into Eboracum on, and the legendary dragons carved into York’s history

Cop' Carnival

Cop’Carnival is York’s biggest village carnival – a week of music, fun, and community spirit, ending with our famous Carnival Day. Run entirely by volunteers, we raise vital funds for the Recreation Centre, local and bring joy to all ages. Ghosts After Dark - York BID

Ghosts After Dark 2024 was a 4-day sculpture trail with a difference, telling stories of York’s world-famous history through life-sized chicken wire sculptures (yes, chicken wire!) The translucent sculptures celebrated the people and animals that have dwelled in York over the past 2,000 years and have made York what it is today, from Romans and Vikings to the Museum Garden’s beloved peacocks and squirrels. . For four nights, the event brought all 46 ghosts into the Museum Gardens and added creative lighting, sound and fog. The event also featured 16 bespoke performances by seven local tour guides and actors from York Dungeon to tell the unique stories of the ghosts and the city’s varied past.

The Big Christmas Concert – Ignite Concerts Famously described as "the most Christmas ever", The Big Christmas Concert has become one of York’s standout festive events. Held each December at Q York, it brings together every strand of Christmas music — from traditional carols to acoustic takes on festive pop classics, with a brass band, audience singalongs, and games that make the night sparkle. JORVIK Viking Centre - A Winter Adventure

A Winter Adventure was the first time in 40 years that the weather in Viking-age Coppergate has changed! The idea was to explore a different part of the year - enabling us to talk about dark nights for storytelling, keeping warm by the fire, ice skating on frozen ponds and rivers, and create a fantastic wintery experience whilst remaining true to the archaeology uncovered from Viking-age York. It started as the Christmas markets opened, and finished at the Viking Festival - which traditionally marks the end of winter. The snow-covered ride looked amazing, with people calling it a winter wonderland thanks to the lighting and addition of lots of little spruce trees - a nod towards Christmas, but retaining authenticity. Creating a house with a hearth - perfect to regale visitors with stories from the Viking sagas - was the icing on the festive cake. Winter is normally a very quiet time for JORVIK, and this brought in lots of happy visitors.

Summerfields Festival and Parade was held in July in Tadcaster, it was a joy of entertainment and arts free for all to attend and had loads of community involvement and introduced our community to some amazing arts activities, performers and interactive opportunities.

The Witches Coven, created and hosted by Hocus Pocus Tiny Hotel, is York’s most magical annual gathering—an immersive celebration of folklore, spirituality and community. We transform ourvenue and surrounding spaces into a hub of connection, with guided blessings, sage rituals, live music, immersive hotel tours and gothic art. Unlike static shows, the format blends high-speed action with static displays, and family-friendly attractions. Our most recent event added even more variety – with monster truck rides, American police car passenger rides raising money for charity, thrilling helicopter flights, and an aeroplane stunt show. We have just completed our 4th WiggyFest we are a music family fun event that tries to promote the local sports clubs, businesses and music artists. The money we raise from our event goes into the following years event and we also try to give some to local good causes. Over the last 4 years we have had close to 8000 attendees. Our dream would be to bring a Top 40 act to Wigginton.

York Against Cancer's R U Taking the P..?

On 22nd June 2025, 177 people took to Rowntree Park to run 5K their way for York Against Cancer’s R U Taking the P..? event. Back for the first time since 2019, the event raised over £18,000 for York Against Cancer, whilst raising awareness of prostate cancer. The 5K fun run was established by York hairdresser Brian Hughes, a founder of Knavesmire Harriers, who was inspired to fundraise after a friend lost his life to prostate cancer. Although previously only open to men, this year, R U Taking the P..? opened to everyone aged 8 and above. The event brought together members of the community and made a huge a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer in our region. York Against Cancer is an independent charity helping people in York and North & East Yorkshire affected by cancer. We provide care and support for patients and their loved ones, fund pioneering cancer research and provide cancer awareness education and information.

From serving our loyal customers in the shop, to delivering over 400 newspapers on our delivery rounds daily, we go above and beyond for our valued customers. We deliver 364 days of the year starting at 4am, with Xmas day been our only day off. We have a handful of loyal staff that offer outstanding customer service and are always smiling and happy for a chat while customers come in for their daily newspapers and lottery etc.

Our staff are all easy going, experienced, friendly characters, who want to sell you good quality furniture at a fair price. We will always deliver your furniture to the room you need it in , and leave it in packaged and ready to use. If it needs to be built up for you, then we will build it, at no extra charge. All the packaging we remove is recycled, as are all the customers beds that we dispose of. We are also keen to help long after the sale is done, so customers who need us to help move their large wardrobes to another room, or want replacement parts etc come back to us years after they purchased, and we will always do all we can. I run a dance school in Acomb. We have recently expanded our studio to the unit next door so we have 3 studios. I started the school about 14 years ago when my children were tiny. It started in village halls and has grown massively since then. We are passionate about making dance accessible for Every child , weather children eventually want to make a career out of dance or weather just building their confidence. It's so important that each and every child gets the experience they deserve. We attract quite a lot of children with SEN - parents will say things like MY child wouldn't manage in other dance schools but you let them be who they are so they have a happy safe place to come to that isn't home. We take children from age 2 write up to 18 and they stay with us for years. We've built a lovely community of families. 2 out of 3 of my children are autistic and don't manage school so I realise how important it is for children to have a place they can be to learn socialise and beacceot

Lucy's Pop Choir

Lucy's Pop Choir is a local choir for adults that is fun, uplifting and stress-free, and will leave you with a smile on your face, new friends in your contact list and a buzz that will see you through your working week! We sing pop & chart songs, we don't audition or use sheet music, we don't have a set uniform or choreography, and we're really welcoming! We've been running in York for over 12 years now, starting with just one session, set up by Lucy (which she dragged all her friends to at the start!) to now having 12 sessions across Yorkshire. The choir community really is like a big extended family, but not only that, we've been able to do some incredible fundraising through our events and with our members. Since we launched, we've raised over £40,000 for both local and national charities. Not to mention performing at countless events, where a specific fundraising amount can't quite be valued. NETheatre York

NETheatre Yorks roots span well over 100 years and is a vibrant all inclusive community group of amazing people. NETheatre is UNIQUE! With ages ranging from 6 to 89 at recent productions, Fiddler On The Roof, Grease, Elf, Sound of Music, Carousel over the past year it is firmly established at the heart of Yorks theatre world. We welcome all abilities all ages and with an ethos where everyone can have their moment to shine and an every show we are all one. We have an army of volunteers with family members from helping with set builds and get outs where mums, dads, grandparents, siblings all are involved all family, so important. Over the past 11 years we’ve invited charities to come along to our shows to collect donations from our audiences as well as giving to charities free tickets to our performances which they can raffle to raise vital funds or just give to someone whom may not have been able to see a show. These charities include Snappy, Family Fund and Stimul8 to mention a few. I

Nicola Betts Community Musician

As a community musician, I am passionate about creating opportunities for people to experience the many wonderful benefits of singing and making music in a group setting. Each week in my local community, I lead several choirs and community singing groups for people ranging from 0-80+ years old. The main focus of The York Wellbeing Choir and the choirs at The Leveson Centre (a support centre for people whose lives have been touched by cancer) is singing to improve general wellbeing, with a huge emphasis on the importance of singing together collectively rather than just singing alone. I have so many testimonies from choir members over the years of how this has massively improved their emotional, physical and social wellbeing. All my activities that come under the umbrella of 'Nicola Betts Community Musician create a strong sense of community where people feel a sense of belonging, acceptance and being valued. We raise a lots of money for charity along the way too!

‘Rowntree Players’ is the oldest amateur theatre company in York and one of the oldest in the country. Rowntree Players is a strong community theatre company. Savannah Travel was established in 2017, the director having already worked in the travel industry for 14 years. It has become a highly recommended and respected business, both with customers and suppliers. It was awarded Elite Specialist status for Canada and is a member of CLIA, the Cruise Lines International Association. Savannah Travel's knowledge and customer service standards are second to none. The director writes a monthly article in the Local Link as "the travel expert". Time is taken to get to know each customer's likes and dislikes and also their dreams. Selby Superbowl isn’t just a great place for fun and entertainment – it’s a real community champion, small and family run hub. Alongside offering a fantastic bowling, laser & arcade experience for families, friends and all ages, the team has gone above and beyond to give back locally. The Flying Ducks Youth Theatre

Flying Ducks Youth Theatre is a charity based amateur dramatics group in York, offering classes in Musical Theatre and Performance, to ages 4-18. Our classes are all about building confidence and creativity through drama games and skill based sessions. We specialise in singing, dancing and acting and we perform annually at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre. Flying Ducks has been running for, just over, 30 years and are still going strong with over 150 members. Hi everyone. We opened our doors in May this year to the public. We are small business with just 2 apiarists. Last winter we built the world of bees, an enclosed area where the public can come free of charge and enjoy and learn about the Honey bees, see the bees working together and experience these magnificent creatures and how beneficial they are to local biodiversity in the Bee Free Zone. We have a small sales area selling Honey from our bees and beeswax candles produced with the wax from our beehives. In the short period we have been open, we have had many group bookings, Cubs, Scouts,Women’s Institute, Brownies,Squirrels, Beavers, School visits as well as private bookings with fantastic feedback on Google, facebook and in person. Our aim is to provide everyone who visits with an insight into how important our Honey Bees are with regards to pollination of crops and also how we plant for all pollinators to keep the balance equal. Skylos Homemade Dog Treats

I created my business from scratch to provide healthy treats for dogs. I created all the recipes, put them thru legal testing then thru the all important 4 legged test. I make everything in my home kitchen with the aid of my trusty stand mixer, all the biscuits are cut by hand, and packed in recyclable paper bags that I hand stamp! I really pride myself on helping find a treat for that picky dog or one that has dietary restrictions.

The Early Bird Milkman

The Early Bird Milkman is a local, small, family-run business. Previously owned by my father in law, we then bought and took over at that start of 2017. We deliver fresh milk, juices, local free range eggs, Longley farm products and so much more to homes, businesses, restaurants and cafes all over York - every single week through the night, come rain, snow or shine! Covid was a very important time for us, making sure we could help all our customers get all the products they needed at such a scary time, especially for the elderly etc. Myself and my partner love owning a milkround and we are very lucky to have some of the best customers, who couldn’t be more supportive of what we do and understand that sourcing their milk locally from us, not only helps our little family but also helps the farmers - and in turn, they get great quality products delivered straight to their door. I set up Fully Loaded on 1st December 2024 after the local land and business owner refused to let me rent one of his properties to start a food outlet. Fully Loaded is a mobile food van based at Tadcaster Barn. I serve jacket potatoes, loaded nachos and homemade sweet treats. Having the van rather than a building is challenging but I've worked hard to get where I am today and my business is growing all the time.

Herbie’s

Herbie’s brings the festive feel to York’s Christmas market. Herbie’s Treehouse has been an integral part of the market since 2018 serving mulled wine and hot toddies. It has an elf train going round hanging from the ceiling, a real tree growing through the middle and hundreds of other creative details. Our other contribution is Chocolate Circus. In 2024 our stacked hot chocolates went viral and had people visiting York just to get one of our sensational festive drinks.

Mums had her street food business going on 10 years now. She loves what she does & is proud of her food. Its authentic as its shipped in from the Netherlands & she takes great pride in making sure every dish is served with love. She's done countless charity events over the year & the part I'm most proud of is that last year she had major life changing surgery, which would have put people out of the game for years. Just 6 months after surgery she was back on her feet, serving customers as she didnt want to let anyone down. Her health's deteriorating but she keeps going.

We have been operating in York now for 6 years serving the local community and tourists through pop-ups, permenant locations and street food trucks. We provide a unique venue for couples to make their weddings completely their own and put our whole heart & our home into making their celebrations perfect. Since taking on the abandoned Grade 1 listed hall & derelict barns 5 years ago we have transformed them into a luxury but affordable wedding venue. Couples have exclusive access over three days to enable them to truly make the venue their own. We are also on hand to help and support couples every step of the way. Carlton Towers is an exquisite stately home in Yorkshire with a long and distinguished history. It's not a monument. It’s the real family home of Lord and Lady Gerald Fitzalan Howard. As well as being Gerald and Emma’s family home today, the house was originally designed to host small gatherings and large parties. Grand Opera House York

Grand Opera House York brings top class entertainment to the city, giving locals the chance to see West End shows in the comfort of their own city, and also attracting limited-run national tours which bring more people to the city. We hosted over 300 performances welcoming a range of shows including national tours of Dear Evan Hansen, Sister Act, Rocky Horror Show and Hairspray, pre-West End performances including A Man For All Seasons, kids shows such as The Dinosaur That Pooped and Horrible Histories, and our annual pantomime. Last year we welcomed 4169 access customers under our access scheme, and have 37 accessible performances this year, with more to book as our programme increases. We work closely with amateur groups in the city including York Stage and Pick Me Up Theatre hosting around 30 performances per year, giving more local people the opportunity to grow and develop their theatrical skills providing a platform for local talent to flourish.

Joseph Rowntree Theatre Ltd

Joseph Rowntree Theatre is a community theatre and a charity managed and operated by volunteers providing a wide range of different entertainments at affordable prices to the people of North Yorkshire. We also provide performance opportunities to local groups from across the county. In 2015 we created the York Community Choir Festival and from small beginnings the annual event brings together 35 - 40 different singing groups with over 1,200 people taking part. In 2025 we hosted 38 choirs, all from within a 25 mile radius of York, in 8 concerts, In 2026 we will host 9 concerts with at least 40 choirs ranging from primary and secondary school groups to pensioners. Every concert is different with different singing styles and choice of music covering popular songs, show tunes, classical, gospel, world music and folk song. The festival gives choirs not just an opportunity to perform in a proper theatre, they listen, learn, and share experiences demonstrating the benefit of group singing
